We regrets to report the tragic news of Mike Harker's death. Mike, age 64, passed away on April 1, 2011 aboard Wanderlust III in Martinique from a massive stroke not far from the location where he was brutally attacked, beaten and robbed in July 2010. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike's family and his friends around the world. We will continue to host this site and Mike's blog as a tribute to a great sailor and a great person.

circumnavigations with skipper/adventurer, Mike Harker. Mike is
sailing aboard a brand new Hunter 49 tricked out with the
full range of modern electronics and cruising gear. Mike
departed in March 2007 from the Miami Sailboat Show and
completed a west-to-east circumnavigation in 11 months. In
2009, Mike will circumnavigate again, this time
East-to-West. Sail
with Mike on an adventure of a lifetime.
Prior to his untimely death, Mike was preparing to sail for the Mediterranean in late Spring 2011 where he planned to cruise before continuing an East-to-West circumnavigation via Japan with eventual return to his homeport in California.
